Japanese find: Karukayado mermaid

During the last week in June 2012, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration issued a statement denying the existence of mermaids. NOAA has yet to release a statement denying the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, the Gulf Triad, or Sirens. Why then would the government organization feel the need to address the public in an official capacity on the matter of aquatic humanoids. Note their reluctant to use the more common term, mermaids. Could there be a conspiracy to hide the truth?

We say no. It’s a fantasy. It’s fun to imagine what lies beneath the sea, but we trust NOAA. . . for now.
